This works just as advertised for emailing short audio clips. Its the best Ive found so far for my purpose- quick emails back home while traveling. Unlike QuickVoice, you are not limited to 30 second messages. If you choose a practical target of 2MB or smaller file size, this gives you about 2 minutes and 15 seconds of recording time. The ability to include a Google location map and photos are also nice features for travelers. The biggest problem I have is that you cant send to a Group of addresses. They have to be selected one by one from your Contacts (AddressBook) or entered manually. QuickVoice and other voice to email apps Ive tried work similarly. On the plus side, this app lets you specify the default From address and one default To address. And when you start typing in a name, autocomplete from your contacts works here just as in the Mail app. When sending, clicking on the + in the address field lets you choose recipients from your contacts one by one. (Tip- If your commonly-used addresses are in a Group in your Contacts, go to Contacts beforehand and select this Group of addresses. Then when you go to the addresses in Say It & Mail it, you wont have to scroll through the entire address book to find the ones you want, and autocomplete will restrict itself to this Group.) The only important missing feature I see is the lack of a timer or running file size indicator. Workaround: I set the Auto-Lock on my iPod Touch to 2 minutes, and when the screen dims, I know I have about 20 seconds left before I hit 2MB file size. A Pause button while recording would also be nice.
